We saw your ad in Fine Woodworking for Holly wood and we decided to order some from you. First of all you were such help in ordering the wood and second when we received the Holly it was BEAUTIFUL. Ordering something over the internet can be scary as you don't know what you will get in return. Dave and I have been looking for a good source to get Holly from and when he saw your ad we were excited, so we gave you a try. You and your wood did NOT disappoint at all. We are so pleased with it. We ran it thru our sander and were so excited at how truly beautiful the wood was. We use Holly in our double bevel marquetry, segmented turnings and furniture projects. The cherry wood Flag Case/Shadow Box arrived on Monday, 28 Jan, right around 1:15 p.m. (impeccable timing). It was simply breath-taking, my bottom lip was on the floor, and my eye balls were bulging (lol)! It arrived in absolute perfect condition and right on time as per your guarantee; further it was extremely well packaged! I organized the Box which enhanced its beauty. I tell you this Box was the "highlight" of the ceremony, so many "ews" & "aws"; and the recipient just could not hold back her tearful emotions. We finally finished the instrument which I used from the Holly I purchased from you. Our instrument maker had never seen white wood before in his life. As soon as he saw the wood he fell in love with it, but he was not sure what it would sound like. Rest assured it sounds better than the traditional wood they have been using for the last 70 years. The wood was so easy to work with and it bent well too. Even the fret board of the instrument was made from your holly.

I was looking for a nice snowy piece of Holly for a cane I'm working on and did a search through a mega search tool. After a few tries, it came up with a short ilex list. DomEx was included. After visiting each site, only yours had what I was looking for...actually better than I was expecting. The Holly is wonderful and worth the price. I really just stumbled upon your website. I had been searching for some holly for a few days and finally just did a google search for "holly lumber." I have purchased quite a bit of Holly over the years and I received my purchase from you yesterday. I have to say that the boards are all very nice with minimal defects and I am very impressed at the quality of the 8/4 board that I purchased. Holly is hard to find in 8/4 and I don't need it for this project, but bought it to have for future work.
