Cocobolo Rosewood 1-1/8 x ** 12 ** x 73 (Extremely Rare!)
$3,500.00
You are viewing a phenomenal and extremely rare piece of Cocobolo Rosewood (Dalbergia retusa). Measures a solid 1-1/8" x 12" x 73". Kiln-dried (to about 6 to 8%). Ends were sealed long ago, and it has been in dry storage literally for decades and is just one of a number of pieces that we are finally willing to put on the market! It has been lightly surfaced to get a better look at its color and grain, which is gorgeous! Photos are of both sides of the actual piece you will receive. You will not find cocobolo like this just about anywhere else, so grab this piece while you can! Great piece for a large variety of projects.
Luthiers: This piece can be re-sawn and will work well for the backs of guitars. We have a number of other pieces (measuring roughly 5" to 6"W x 40" and longer), which will have been listed, that were specifically cut to this size for the purpose of being re-sawn (in half) to get two bookmatched pieces for guitar-set sides. If purchased in conjunction with the piece in this listing, you will have stunning back and side sets!
** This piece will need to be cut down so that the overall length of the package will be under 48". If you need the full length intact, please contact us for a more accurate shipping quote prior to checking out with this item.
***** If you like this extremely wide and rare one-of-a-kind piece of Cocobolo Rosewood, and need more than just this one piece, we have a few others very similar to it that are even more stunning (if you can believe that!)...with simply amazing thick black lines and gorgeous grain patterns! Please inquire separately, if interested.
