Applewood Slab/Flitch - 2-1/2"T

This listing is for ONE gorgeous old-growth Applewood slab/flitch roughly measuring 2-1/4" to 2-1/2"T x 8" to 15"W x 8' to 9' long (about 20 bd ft). Air-dried (for well over 25 years!). You cannot find applewood like this anywhere!  Applewood is traditionally "the" hardwood to use for the handles of tools etc., and it is also a great wood for furniture-making, cabinetry, game calls, turnery, and many many other projects.  If you want more than one slab, please change the quantiy in your cart before checking out!  Your piece (or pieces) will be randomly pulled from the stack you see in the photos.  Please see all photos as we have included a number sample photos of pieces that we have lightly surfaced so you can see the true beauty of the color and grain of this phenomenal apple wood!  Please note:  applewood is typically a knotty/twisty wood, and although most of our pieces lay pretty flat, you should expect some twist, bow and/or cupping in them, as well as knots.  Most pieces should finish at a solid 2".   All pieces are cut right from the log and so they contain natural wane, as you can see from the photos.  5/4 slabs (3' to 4' long) also available!
