Locust, Black
Black Locust is extremely dense with great structural strength and longevity and is very resistant to decay and rot! For this reason, it is greatly used in boat-building, but it is also a great wood for furniture, flooring, stairs, mantles and turning. One primary use of Black Locust is for the keys of xylophones. Below are just a few sample pieces of Black Locust. We have more of this great wood in stock (in 4/4 - 8/4) and plan to list more here in the near future.
